Secuutus

Lutheran Ministries Praise and Worship Band

The band began with an occasional jam session and learning period with B.J. and Broderick.  The first performance was at a Festive Hope in March of 2006.  Due to need, Broderick played drums with B.J. on guitar and vocals.  Shortly after, David was added to the band bringing a powerful voice to be heard up front.  Broderick took his permanent place on lead guitar with B.J. supplementing him on rhythm guitar.  Donnie Dorman came into the band in early July of 2006, filling the need for a rhythm guitarist and adding the need for a drummer.  B.J. then moved to the drums. Morgan Gould has just recently been added as the Bass player and will be incorporated in the band for further performances. The opportunity arose to play outside of the Festive Hope circle which created the need to begin writing original songs to supplement the cover songs that were being played. The Festive Hope Invocation Medley was the first original, followed shortly by Glorify.  The band finally decided on the name, Secuutus, which is latin for "follower".  Secuutus is committed to the mission of proclaiming the Gospel all throughout the communities of Southwest Oklahoma, and consider music to be a powerful tool in fulfilling this mission.    Donnie has since left the band as work schedule got in the way.  We have recently written our third original Get Down  which is more of a hard rock Christian tune.
